2013 Sammy Frappe Sr. Boys Volleyball

Consolation Champions 2013

The Sr. Boys Volleyball team competed this weekend at the Sammy Frappe tournament against 20 teams. These teams consisted of local and traveling teams from across Ontario. 17 of the 20 teams were OFSAA level teams.

Friday, CW placed 4th in their pool of 5. Needless to say, Friday wasn't our best Volleyball.

On Saturday, during the second round of pool action, CW finished 1st in their pool only losing one set which advanced them to the consolation playoffs.

During the semi finals, CW faced Beatrice Deslodge - (Currently 3rd in the OFSAA division regular season play) and lost their first set. This didn't slow the boys determination. They battled back to beat Beatrice 2 sets to 1 to advance to the finals.

During the Championship Consolation Finals, CW faced West Carleton again lost the first set and trailed the second set 21-16 when CW battled back to win the second set 25-23 and then took the third set to bring home a medal and first place in the B division.
