The Jr. Badminton Team participated in the Far East Badminton Tournament on Thursday. All players had a great outing, especially since it was their 1st official badminton tournament.
The girls doubles pairing of Anna & Jasmine won their 1st match and then got in to some tough competition. Falling just short of advancing to this week's East tournament. Similarly, the boys doubles of Ryan and Cole, fell short of advancing as well. Probably in the toughest division, they lost their 1st match to eventual tournament winners and then won their next two matches, to eventually lose the match for 4th place.
The mixed doubles of Alex and Laura qualified for the East Tournament by going an impressive 2-2. Great spirit and positive attitude made these two a pleasure to watch. Jason Sukstorf also qualified for the East Tournament at St. Matt's this Thursday by going 2-2 in a difficult singles field.
